Manny Soto

Mr. Armando Soto (Manny Soto), is a fully Licensed Master-Teacher (Menkyo-Kaiden Shihan) of the Miya-Ichi Ryu, and is the Chief Instructor of the “Shubushi-Kan Dojo” (House of the Lord’s Warrior) in Florida and North Carolina


Since his introduction to the martial arts & ways over three decades ago, to the present, Soto Sensei has actively engaged in the study and teaching of the classical warrior arts, and has instructed hundreds of students in unarmed and weaponry martial arts.

Currently Soto Sensei holds the ranking and title of JudanHanshi (10th dan, Grandmaster) in all three main arts of the Miya-Ichi Ryu tradition, from his  28  years of direct study under its founder J.J. Sagaro, Saiko-Shihan. In 2004 Soto Sensei was passed-on the headmastership as Nidai-Soke (Second Generation Headmaster) of both Miya-Ichi Ryu Bujutsu and Kiban-Ryu Karatejutsu.


He has been training in the specialized martial discipline of Battojutsu, a form of Japanese Swordsmanship since 1983. Additionally to his discipleship with Sagaro Sensei, he has also trained under notable masters in Nisei Goju-Ryu Karatedo and Kobudo,  Kempo, Shotokan Karatedo,  Judo, AikijutsuJu-Jutsu, Pakua Kung Fu, Bak Si Lum Kung Fu, Hung Gar Kung Fu.   


He holds the ranks of  Kudan, Hanshi in Kawaseimizu-Ryu Aikijutsu, Shodan in Shotokan Karatedo and Kung Fu, Godan, Renshi in Goju-Ryu, Sandan in American Karatedo, Nidan in Kempo.
